"Megan has been teaching Oliver since she started with piranhas in June, Oliver is always really enthusiastic and is keen to learn. He listens and try’s hard in every lesson which is what is helping him become a fantastic swimmer. He likes to challenge himself...one week megan asked him to bring clothes in to practice swimming in he even brought a pair of socks just to make it more of a challenge!! 💪🏼 Oliver has nearly completed his Piranha journey sticker book with only a couple of stickers left to complete. During his lessons with Megan he has been practicing all his swimming strokes, survival skills and first aid skills....keep up the good work Oliver 👍🏼" - Coach Megan

"Joshua has been nothing short of amazing the last couple of weeks. The things he has overcome are remarkable. He now can swim 5 metres without floats and is happy to have water sprinkled over his face.😄 Joshua has Autism so my approach to my lessons has changed slightly to accommodate this. I have gained experience and understanding of the condition. So we have both learnt something valuable to take forward. Keep up the good work mate 👏" - Piranha Coach David
We encourage children to wear goggles as soon as possible after all- we all end up wearing them anyway!.. #letthemexperiment .☺️
We ensure our swimmers practice both with goggles and without goggles to ensure they are confident in the water either way.
Whilst toddlers can find goggles uncomfortable to begin with, once they adjust to them visibility is increased, they achieve a better awareness of their positioning in the water and subsequently their confidence is vastly improved. 🙌🏻
Here you can see Oscar and Tyler aged 2 trying out their goggles.👓💙
Get your children into goggles early, practice and play in the bath and save weeks of building confidence in later stages!
We recommend a specific type of sea squad goggles. From our experience we find these are the best of the market- good value, no leaks, no adjustment fuss and comfortable for the children. 👏🏻

Piranha of the week has this week been awarded to.... 🥁
Will Gardner 🐠
Will has only been swimming with Piranhas for one term. He came to coach Deven, a rather nervous and apprehensive swimmer, who didn’t like putting his face in or letting go of a floating aid.
Deven has taken time to build a good rapport with Will to gain trust and comfort in the water. Focusing on areas within child development; Deven has been focusing on life skills, water safety and “piranhaology” to encourage Will to be confident in his own ability.
This week Will’s swimming was outstanding! Will swam his first ever lengths, all by himself. Not only this, he achieved it with his face in and his coach out of the water!
It was overwhelmingly rewarding to see Will so pleased with his achievement as he gained more and more confidence as he did it over and over again.
A big well done to Will, keep up the good work Piranha! 🐠🏆
